Privacy Policy

DRAFT — not yet in effect. This document is pending review by legal counsel before launch and is not legal advice. Wording, scope, and the items marked [in review] below are not final.

What we collect

When you ask Dreamweaver to interpret a dream, we process the dream text you submit, an anonymous device identifier (a random id stored on your device — not your name or email), and usage counts(how many interpretations you've used, to operate free limits and cost controls).

Your dream text leaves your device

Dreamweaver's interpretations are generated by company-hosted AI. To produce them, the dream text you submit is sent over the network to our server, which calls an AI model on your behalf. Your dream text is not kept on your device only — it is transmitted for processing. We do not sell your data, and we do not retain the raw dream text after generating your interpretation. (Any specific retention window for the anonymous id and usage counts is [in review].)

Accounts & cloud sync

Dreamweaver is local-first: with no account, your journal lives only on your device. If you create an account (so your dreams sync across your devices and to unlock paid features), your dreams and intentions are then stored in your account on our cloud backend, protected so that only you can read them. You can export or delete all of it at any time (see below). Accounts are [not yet enabled in this version — going live with our cloud backend].

How we use it

Solely to generate your interpretation and to operate the service (enforce free limits and per-user cost caps, prevent abuse). We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.

Your choices & rights

Self-serve data export and account deletion are built in: with an account you can export all your data (a JSON download of your profile, dreams, and intentions) and permanently delete your account and all its data at any time. (These go live with accounts; until then the app is fully local on your device, and clearing the app clears your data.) The specific privacy rights available to you (and the U.S. states / regions in scope) are [in review with counsel].

Cookies & tracking

[in review with counsel] — the cookie/analytics disclosure will be finalized before launch.

Age

[DRAFT default: intended for users 13+; to be confirmed with counsel.] Dreamweaver is not directed to children under 13.

Changes & contact

We'll post the finalized policy here before launch. Contact details for privacy requests are [in review].
